We're Hiring: Order Fulfillment & Admin Assistant

About Tree Picks

Tree Picks makes eco-friendly wooden guitar picks and we plant a tree for every pack we sell. We've shipped over 14,000 orders to guitarists around the world and earned more than 2,000 five-star reviews. Every order goes out with a handwritten note, because we care about the details.

We're a small Calgary business, and you'll be working directly with the founder. If you want your work to make a visible difference, this is that job.

What you'll do

  • Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time
  • Write the handwritten notes that go into every order
  • Print shipping labels and prepare US shipments, including customs paperwork
  • Keep stock organized and flag low inventory
  • Update orders in Shopify and keep tracking spreadsheets current
  • Help with customer emails and general admin tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Reliable and punctual. Showing up on time matters here.
  • Detail-oriented. A wrong pick or a wrong address costs us a customer.
  • Able to take direction and also work independently once you know the ropes
  • Comfortable with computers, email, and spreadsheets
  • Clear written communication
  • Someone who can legally work in Canada

Nice to have (but definitely not required)

  • E-commerce experience (Shopify a bonus)
  • Marketing (Meta, Google, TikTok) or social media experience
  • Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude
  • Interest in music or guitar

The details

  • Full-time position
  • In-person only. This is not a remote or work-from-home role.
  • $18–$20/hr, depending on experience
  • Extra hours available during the holiday season
  • Desk-based work in a small workspace
  • You'll report directly to the owner
  • Start as soon as mid-November
