At Tree Picks, we make guitar picks out of real wood. That means we think a lot about trees.
We love the way wood feels in your hand. We love the warm tone it brings out of an instrument. We love that every piece of wood grain is a little different. But we also know that using wood comes with responsibility.
So we keep it simple:
For every pack of Tree Picks you order, a tree gets planted.
We do not physically plant the trees ourselves. We are usually covered in sawdust making guitar picks. But in 2026, we partnered with another Canadian company, The Good API, to help make our tree planting initiative happen.
The Good API plants trees around the world and also helps remove plastic from oceans. Every time you order a pack of Tree Picks, we contribute to that work.

Why We Plant Trees
Tree Picks is not a charity. We are a small business that makes handcrafted wooden picks for musicians.
But we believe businesses can do good things while still being businesses.
The cost of planting trees is built into the price of our picks. That means you do not need to add a donation, round up your order, or click an extra checkbox at checkout.
Just order picks.

Sourcing Wood Responsibly
We also do our best to source wood thoughtfully and responsibly.
Our picks are made from beautiful hardwoods chosen for their tone, feel, durability, and natural grain. Whenever possible, we aim to use wood from responsible sources and make the most of every piece we work with.
Because guitar picks are small, we can often create something useful and beautiful from pieces of wood that might otherwise be overlooked or wasted. We like that.
Every pick is a tiny reminder that natural materials are worth respecting.
Why Wood?
Plastic picks are everywhere. They are cheap, easy to make, and easy to lose.
Wooden picks are different.
They feel more natural.
They sound warmer.
They show real grain.
They do not all look exactly the same.
A Tree Pick is not just another little piece of plastic hiding in the bottom of a guitar case. It is a small, handcrafted tool made from real wood — and every pack helps put another tree in the ground.
Our Promise
We are not perfect. We are not pretending that one guitar pick will save the planet.
But we do believe small choices matter.
So we will keep making picks with care, sourcing wood as responsibly as we can, reducing waste where possible, and planting a tree for every pack sold.
Because if we are going to make picks from trees, the least we can do is help plant a few more.
